Q: What is Rooted Realms: Myth-Forged Heirloom Relics?
Rooted Realms is a series of custom-commissioned heirloom sculptures that I create by hand from reclaimed copper wire and natural materials such as driftwood, Mopani wood, or stone. Each piece is one of a kind.
Q: What is the theme of this series?
This work explores roots, growth, story, and imagination. Many of the pieces take the form of trees or guardians and are connected to a larger, evolving realm that I continue to develop through my practice.
Q: How are the sculptures created?
I hand-twist each sculpture from reclaimed electrical wire, shaping every piece by hand. I then ground the work in natural materials to give it physical balance and presence.
Q: How large are the sculptures?
The sculptures range from approximately 12 inches tall to over 3 feet, depending on the commission.
Q: How do I know which sculpture is right for me?
That is something we can explore together through a discovery call. You can schedule a call using the button on this page.
Q: What happens during a discovery call?
During the call, we’ll talk about what draws you to the work, how you imagine living with a sculpture, and what kind of piece might be the right fit for you now or in the future.
Q: How do I commission a Rooted Realms sculpture?
To begin, schedule a discovery call. From there, I will guide you through the commissioning process and discuss the next steps.
Q: What if I want to learn more but am not ready to invest yet?
That is exactly what the discovery call is for. You are welcome to explore the work, ask questions, and learn more without any pressure.
Q: What about shipping?
Shipping is custom due to the delicacy of each sculpture. I carefully package every piece, and we will discuss shipping details during the commissioning process.
Q: What if the sculpture is not what I expected?
Art is a personal experience. While payments are non-refundable, you may return the sculpture at your expense, and the full amount can be applied as a deposit toward another original piece.
